Karlino Municipality, located at the picturesque confluence of the Parsęta and Radew rivers, is a local centre for water-based recreation. Known for its scenic kayaking routes, the municipality has become a popular destination for paddling enthusiasts.
In May this year, residents of Karlino Municipality received new yellow, green and blue containers for the separate collection of recyclable waste. CONTENUR POLSKA supplied nearly 3,800 containers designated for the collection of paper, glass and plastic packaging waste.
In line with the contracting authority's requirements, each container was permanently marked with the municipality's coat of arms, the name of the corresponding waste fraction and a unique identification number.
In addition, every container features a QR code on its front panel, applied using thermal printing technology. By scanning the code, residents can instantly access useful information, including the municipal waste collection schedule and local waste sorting guidelines prepared by Karlino Municipality.
The use of permanently marked QR codes on waste containers is becoming an increasingly popular solution, offering municipalities a modern and convenient way to communicate with residents. It provides a practical digital tool for delivering up-to-date information directly to container users, while supporting greater engagement with local recycling initiatives.
